Happy Small Business Week! Please join us in congratulating this year’s honorees by attending the ceremony on May 8, from 1-2:30 p.m. EST in the William Jefferson Clinton East Building, Room 1153 (Map Room). For those who are not located in the Washington, D.C., area, please join the celebration using Zoom.
EPA is recognizing our small business awardees as part of National Small Business Week, which runs from May 4-10 and is an opportunity to celebrate contributions performed by small business owners and entrepreneurs. This week recognizes the hard work, ingenuity, and dedication of America's small business community and their contributions to job creation and economic growth. This year’s theme is "Honoring the Small Businesses Powering EPA's Mission."
Under OSDBU leadership, the agency is collectively working to ensure that small businesses receive a fair chance to compete for the agency’s procurement opportunities and engage in EPA’s rulemaking and compliance initiatives that impact them.
This past year, for example, EPA increased the amount of contract dollars awarded to small businesses. The agency also continues receiving high marks for its efforts to address small business regulatory concerns raised with the U.S. Small Business Administration Office of the National Ombudsman.
As the agency celebrates the contributions of America's small businesses, be sure to applaud and thank this year's award recipients for their contributions to protecting human health and the environment while embracing EPA's Small Business First culture.
